80th Independence Day Celebration
Little Flower High School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of our nation with great patriotism and enthusiasm on 15th August 2026.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Miss Chinmayee Karanjkar and Miss Saanvi Ravnang, Manager of our school Rev. Fr. John Almeida, Principal Rev. Sr. Apoline Pais, Primary Section Head Mrs. Rosita Saldhana, Pre-Primary Head Mrs. Judith followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The entire school ground was filled with the colours of the tricolour and a spirit of pride.
The Program was attended by Mrs. Trupti Shelke , Assistant Police Inspector and Mrs. Gargi Shelar , police Head constable from Vartak Nagar Police Station. Ms. Trupti Shelke guided the students and the parents about cyber security.
Students from Classes 5 to 10 presented a special program. It included mass drill, patriotic song, a dance performance, a speech on “80 Years of Freedom and Our Responsibilities”, and a short skit on the sacrifices of freedom fighters. A speech competition and drawing competition on the theme “My Vision for India @2047” were also organized.
The School actively participated in Har Ghar Tiranga and conducted different activities with great enthusiasm.
The Students took Oath on Prohibition of Tobacco and drugs and pledged to create a healthy and drug free society.
On this occasion the students took a solemn oath to prepare sincerely for their upcoming Board Examinations of Class 10 and Class 12, scheduled in February-March 2027.
In the oath, the students pledged to study with full dedication and not to resort to any kind of unfair means during the examination.
The Principal addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of unity, discipline, and the role of youth in building a Viksit Bharat. She reminded students that freedom comes with responsibility towards the nation.
The event concluded with distribution of sweets and the singing of patriotic songs. The celebration ended on a proud note, inspiring every student to contribute to the progress of the country.
